• Black screen blinking cursor

I’m multibooting LMDE, Ubuntu and Antergos. LMDE and Ubuntu work fine but when I boot Antergos I just get a black screeb and blinking cursor. I’ve tried restoring grub to each of the three partitions and can boot LMDE and Ubuntu but not Antergos, so I’ve ruled out a Grub issue. I’m guessing it’s an issue with the 4.0 Kernel. Should I try to reinstall? Any thoughts?

  • Mount the system partition for Antergos in Ubuntu or LMDE and try to check for any error logs.

  • I figured out it was the xorg taking a dump with my AMD GPU. I’ll wait until the 4.0 kernel gets sorted out. I’m guessing it rolled out too soon. I’m seeing quite a few nightmare stories with it.

Are we talking about AMD internal graphics or external graphics?
