• How is the the bar on the bottom left called and how can I modify it?

    Hey antergos community,

I just want to know how the bar on the bottom left is called (red circle in the picture). I also want my icons to move to the top right of the corner (green circle). Anyone know how to do this?

    Thanks in Advance

  • @Tuney It’s the place where Gnome 3.16 holds the legacy tray icons. Don’t know its exact name and how it can be removed.

The easiest way to almost completely hide it, is to install the TopIcons extension

    https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/495/topicons/

This will transform it into a narrow vertical line (hidden state). Legacy icons will be moved to the gnome’s (top) panel. Until TopIcons remains active, it won’t be possible to expand (unhide) the bar by moving the mouse over it.

  • Thank you, that was exactly what I needed.

    It`s called “notifications tray”.
To do what you asked for, just follow @just suggestion!
