• Card-Reader problem | 02 Micro

    Hey,

I got another issue. Upon startup, I got the following message:
mmc0: Unknown controller version (3). You may experience problems.

The Card-Reader is working with “ordinary” SD-Cards. But MicroSD for example isn´t working.

Searching the net, I found the following: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/38628

I*ve issued the command and I got the following:

[[email protected] ~]$ dmesg | grep mmc
[ 0.364155] mmc0: Unknown controller version (3). You may experience problems.
    [ 0.364212] sdhci-pci 0000:03:00.0: No vmmc regulator found
    [ 0.364214] sdhci-pci 0000:03:00.0: No vqmmc regulator found
[ 0.367979] mmc0: SDHCI controller on PCI [0000:03:00.0] using ADMA

On this sited they mention something like a patch… how can I apply that patch? I can´t see the solution to it…

Thank you again for your support!

    create a files /etc/modprobe.d/sdhci_pci.conf

    sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/sdhci_pci.conf

add this lint to the blank file:

    options sdhci debug_quirks2="0x10000"

save the file and unload the modules sdhci_pci sdhci_acpi sdhci

    sudo rmmod sdhci_pci sdhci_acpi sdhci

then load sdhce_pci module, it should make the card reader work ok.

    sudo modprobe sdhci_pci

In order for make it work automatically after boot do sudo mkinitcpio -p linux
