    Gnome 3.16

    I tried with

sudo systemctl start ModemManager.service && sudo systemctl enable ModemManager.service

    but didn’t work

  • @Abraham-Moncivais

sudo systemctl start ModemManager.service && sudo systemctl enable ModemManager.service

This is done by default by Cnchi installer.

OK, you’ve created a Hotspot named dennis-antergos. Do the other devices not see it?

  • @karasu thanks for answering!

As fast as “I create a Hotspot” Gnome shows a message, that say that can’t connect to “dennis-antergos”

Then i can’t see the Hotspot from my cellphone, or another computers

I found a picture, that is the way how a created hotspot appear on gnome, the interface have to allows me to use options and show me the password of the hotspot

  • Oh, check that you have dnsmasq and dhclient installed, too.

  • @karasu Thanks!

I was missing the dnsmasq package, now I can create the hotspost

But i can’t change the password and the kind of security, maybe it’s a gnome update.

    thanks

  • @Abraham-Moncivais

Do you have a connection file in /etc/systemd/network ?

  • @karasu No, i have not any file, the /etc/systemd/network folder is empty

I don’t know of that is a problem.

Since I installed dnsmasq package, I can create the hotspot and share my internet

Gnome devs are continuously removing setup options. They think their users are like babies ;)

Anyway, using the wpa and password given works for you or not?

  • @karasu I understand that gnome you want to do the things minimalist, but I cannot understand why removed options

Yes, now my hotspot wortks perfectly! thanks
