• adding tint2-svn to antergos repo

any thoughts on adding tint2-svn to the antergos repo and using it by default? the launchers are nice to have and i think its been around for a long time now.

    https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/tint2-svn/

i cant seem to get it to build from AUR 😱

  • I went with tint2-git instead :)

  • @lots.0.logs svn has many more votes though :bowtie:

i just think having the launchers are a nice touch. there is no need for plank and saves memory.

  • But plank is cool!

  • @karasu i agree plank is pretty cool but doesnt hurt to have options 😜

  • Just to be clear, Plank isnt going anywhere as for as the default Openbox setup is concerned. I think it’s the best option and provides the best end-user experience πŸ˜„

  • i wouldnt want to remove plank either. i just thought having the launcher feature on tint2 would be nice. although i cant even get the thing to build.

  • @megaman tint2-git is available in the repo, no building necessary. Cheers!

  • @lots.0.logs but does the git version allow you to add program launchers?

  • @megaman It’s the same package, so the answer is yes πŸ˜‰

  • @lots.0.logs oh ok i didnt know that. thanks πŸ˜‰
