• Nvidia SLI Broken?

Hello everyone, I redid an install today and got my nvidia drivers sorted out.

    I have no /etc/X11/xorg.conf or /X11/xorg.conf.d/10-monitor.conf

The only file I’m using is /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-nvidia.conf

    and it looks like this:
As soon as I change the "Option “SLI” “Off” to "On"
I fail to get further than “Starting graphical device manager” while booting. if I mount that drive and then change it back to “SLI” “Off” it boots fine.

The BusID’s are correct for both cards,.

    Does anybody have any ideas?

  • Hey, post your logs (journal, xorg, and lightdm) Cheers!

  • Sorry,

Heres journal and xorg logs, I use gdm and not lightdm, not sure where the logs for that are.

  • Run this command and try it again: sudo chown -R zerqz:users /home/zerqz

    Like try enabling sli again?

  • @lots.0.logs Does the same thing, change sli to “On” and it decides to freeze. Boot from a usb of antegros, mount the root drive, and nano to turn sli to “Off” and it starts just fine.

  • I dont see anything in the logs that indicates that its a main component of gnome that gets hung. Try disabling all applications/scripts/etc that you have configured to autostart at boot and then see if it still hangs. If it does, get the logs and post them. Cheers!

  • @Zerqz

    In /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Turn Sli on and BaseMosaic on.

    My sli config:
