• How do i install skype?

Im new to this antergos gnome and im tryin to install skype.
Have tried many things but no luck :(

  • Hi,

Welcome to Antergos  The Skype package is in the multilib repo. You must first enable the multilib repo by removing the hash symbols ( # ) from in front of it in /etc/pacman.conf . Then you can use Pamac (it shows up as Add or Remove Programs in the application menu). Let me know if you have any trouble with it.

  • Hi :)
    Thank you for your help!
I did have a problem… I had to do this before ewerything went fine
    "sudo rm /var/lib/pacman/db.lck"

Open pacman.conf with sudo nano /etc/pacman.conf and uncomment the multilib database.

    sudo pacman -Syy skype

  • @Toni-Dahl

When you make a post there should be a menu under submit, where you can select solved.
