BUG: Unable to lock/autolock Antergos Gnome on Alienware m11x r2
Got a new bug for you and I think it’s related to lightlocker. My mouse and even sometimes keyboards crash. Checking xsession-error, I got these two lightlocker related error messages:
Couldn’t register with accessibility bus: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
Those messages are commonly found in logs when the X server dies suddenly. They are usually a result of the crash not the cause. Please post your Xorg, xsession, and journal logs immediately following a crash. Thanks.
So, just to confirm, you want:
/var/log/Xorg.0.log.old (since the crash happened in the last session): http://pastebin.com/embed_js.php?i=pC3GeFvm
~/xession.erros : that was in the pastebin from last message: http://pastebin.com/embed_js.php?i=9GX4zg3i
Where do I get the journal from?
@lots.0.logs Got it. I’ll get you the journal and logs, the next time it happens.
I’m pretty sure the error is related to lightlocker, everytime the mouse crashes (and only when the mouse crashes), I found this fatal IO error triggered by lightlocker in xessionerros:
Gdk-WARNING **: light-locker: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.
This post is deleted!
@lots.0.logs I just had the no mouse issue 8 reboots in a row. I went and deleted ~/Xscreensaver and the mouse was there on the next reboot. It may be a coincidence. I’ll let you know.
In the meantime, I took all the logs you asked for in the sicky post (a set via ctrl-alt-f2 from terminal before logging into lightDM and another set after logging into lightDM).
