• KDE installation borked with cnchi 0.8.21

    Following the steps here: http://forum.antergos.com/topic/1915/can-t-create-download-package-list/8

After installation, the login manager is working fine, but the loading splash screen is kde’s default, and stalls trying to load into the desktop.

Also if bluetooth is selected, you get the error pointed out in the other topic posted above.

  • Hi,

If you could post the contents of your journal logs and xsession-errors logs that would be great!

  • @lots.0.logs

Kde is stuck at trying to load the desktop; it never finishes, is it possible to grab the logs through the login manager or elsewhere?

The splash screen for loading into the desktop also is not the antergos theme.

  • @Wyn There was a package name change upstream that we needed to update in Cnchi., It should work okay now

  • @lots.0.logs

    Thanks! I’ll try again.

Here’s the state of kde for reference while I try again:

  • @lots.0.logs

0.8.29 did not fix the issue.

These two issues are happening still:

    Error’s in desktop: http://i.imgur.com/7yexM7n.jpg

I also had to install lightdm-gtk-greeter due to Light Display Manager failing on startup.

Only feature selected is AUR and harddrive setup is automatic.

  • Okay. Is this happening on a VM or real hardware? Without the journal and xsession logs, there’s no much I can do to determine the issue you are experiencing. :pensive:

  • @lots.0.logs

Whoops, forgot to add them. This is on actual hardware.
Since my last attempt I have also installed plasma group to load up firefox to post the errors.
