• Pamac issue after gnome 3.16 upgrade

I noticed that I can’t use pamac to add/remove software after the upgrade to gnome 3.16. The GUI stays blank on any input and no warnings or error message. If I start from terminal I get this, when searching any software:
** (pamac-manager:5894): CRITICAL **: file /pkg/src/pamac-2.2.2/src/transaction.vala.c: line 7742: unexpected error: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus) (g-dbus-error-quark, 4)

  • Yeah, me too among other issues since upgrade.

  • Be patient and it ll be fixed. In the meantime, if there`s a need for some GUI package manager, use Pacman XG instead…:innocent:

  • Oh finally it’s not what I thought, just drag down the the description side on the right, and pamac will be up and running:
