• Wireless not working

Hoping someone can help me out

I have been anxiously trying to get the wi-fi to work. It is a belkin usb dual band
I have tried the following with no success

    Code: [Select]

    sudo pacman -Syyu
    sudo pacman -S base-devel git
    yaourt -S rtl8812au_asus-dkms

When I re-booted wi-fi still did not work, So what I was wondering if this process would work as well / instead

    Code: [Select]

    sudo pacman -Syyu
    sudo pacman linux-headers-generic build-essential git
    git clone https://github.com/scrivy/rtl8812AU_8821AU_linux.git
    cd rtl8812AU_8821AU_linux
    sudo make install
    sudo modprobe 8812au

I know this process works for *buntu and mint - And I probably have my apt-gets and pacman’s incorrect - But would this work and if so how do I need to change command syntax

    Much appreciated

  • Hi,

When you issued the yaourt -S rtl8812au_asus-dkms command, everything went well? (No errors)

If you run lsmod is your driver shown?

A dmesg can also help, look for any rtl8812au references there
