• Mouse detecting as joystick

    Been trying to figure this out for the last day or so.

    My Microsoft SideWinder X5 mouse is being reported as a gamepad, I can’t figure out how to remove it and use only my Xbox One controller.
    I have not installed any other gamepad drivers except what’s included in antergos. Currently any game I open holds the left + up button down.

    How can I remove my mouse from seen as a joystick?

  • Hmmm…Perhaps someone who uses KDE on a daily basis will know the answer.

    Can you post the output of the following commands;

    xinput list
    lsusb
    grep -i mouse /var/log/Xorg.0.log

  • Just wanted to mention that the forum’s editor uses markdown (like github). So to add code blocks you use three backticks on the line before the code and three on the line after the code. :school: hehe

    :wink: Cheers!

    Thanks! I always end up fighting with markdown trying to get it working.

  • I’v been searching for a solution with no success, is the mouse functioning at all? And when you have both the mouse and controller connected can you switch between them in the input devices section of the system settings?

    I can change between devices in the joystick panel but it doesn’t effecdt the outcome.

    Everything works as it should. But something is holding keys down, I have to fight to get anywhere.

    Pressing up or down keys/clicking left mouse button/using the left joystick of the controller slows it down. But after half a second it holds keys again.

    I have tried with controller and/or mouse unplugged with rebooting and the issue is still there. I also made sure Keyboard repeat is off.
