• Odd, potentially broken, Behavior with SSH on Antergos

I am not sure what exactly is going on or whether it has anything to do with Antergos at all but here goes . . .

I am having SSH problems in the way that it essentially is not functional, here is the command I am running to create a key:

    ssh-keygen -b 4096 -t rsa -C "comment removed"

This technically works but it isn’t placing the id_rsa file or the .pub file in the ~/.ssh folder like it is suppose to, instead it is just putting it in my ~/ folder however OpenSSH looks for the keys in ~/.ssh and never finds them no matter what I try.

The error I receive is something like, “~/.ssh/id_rsa” not found, no such file. (paraphrased)

Here are all of the things I have attempted to do: (that I can remember)
[list:1l4ow824][*:1l4ow824]I have used other computers to create these files and placed them in ~/.ssh (I had to create that folder too) = issue persists[/*:m:1l4ow824]
[*:1l4ow824]I have made copies in both ~/.ssh and ~/ to check if there is some checking issue = issue persists[/*:m:1l4ow824]
[*:1l4ow824]I have created custom named keys rather than id_rsa. = issue persists[/*:m:1l4ow824]
[*:1l4ow824]I have manipulated permissions on the key files to ensure they meet SSH requirements = issue persists[/*:m:1l4ow824]
[*:1l4ow824]I have generated keys on Antergos -> Openbox = issue persists[/*:m:1l4ow824]
[*:1l4ow824]I have generated keys on Antergos -> KDE = issue persists[/*:m:1l4ow824][/list:u:1l4ow824]

All of these things were experienced on the 2015-01-11 ISO while I previously used the August 2014 ISO via GNOME with no issues at all with SSH.
