• \[SOLVED\] Still having updates issues

    Hi,

I’m still having issues following the resent upgrade of PacmanXg etc.
Have followed advice in recent posts but may have done something wrong as unable upgrade or install.
    See below for example:

    sudo pacman -Syu

    extra is up to date

  • Because of the corrupted package, I would try to:
    [list:3dvx5afj]
    navigate to the directory

    cd /var/cache/pacman/pkg/

    backup the package:

    cp cppackage-query-1.5-3-any.pkg.tar.xz cppackage-query-1.5-3-any.pkg.tar.xz.bak

delete it (for a new download):

    rm /var/cache/pacman/pkg/package-query-1.5-3-any.pkg.tar.xz

    try to upgrade again:

    sudo pacman -Syu

    [/list:u:3dvx5afj]
But I am a new user, so maybe wait for a more experiencied user.

  • Hi,

Please see the pacman keyring announcement topic and follow the instructions posted there. It should resolve this issue for you.

    Cheers!

  • Trying to delete the package query didn’t work for me but sorting the keyring did.
Had previously done that when these issues first appeared but things clearly got corrupted again!

    Many thanks

    Problem solved

  • Interesting …
