• Getting started

    Hey there!

Just installed Antergos from DVD 2014.08.07. So far I liked it. It revived my main PC which I thought was dead (honestly I tried to install Win7/Fedora20/…).

So far I am very happy and I even get used to Gnome 3

    Now a couple of things:

LibreOffice: altough I checked it during installation, it is not on my system. I should get along with this myself. Just saying… ;)

Keyboard language: I set German during installation, but it stayed English. I ran locale-gen as root and tried a couple of stuff. I had to select German as an alternative setting in the end so it worked.

ATI Catalyst: I am running a ATI graphic card so I needed to add the ATI repos. I followed [http://wiki.antergos.com/tiki-index.php?page=How to install AMD Catalyst drivers][0]">[http://wiki.antergos.com/tiki-index.php][1] … %20drivers but pacman was not able to look up the key >Fehler: xorg115: key “ABED422D653C3094” is unknown

Fehler: key “ABED422D653C3094” could not be looked up remotely
Fehler: catalyst: key “ABED422D653C3094” is unknown
Fehler: key “ABED422D653C3094” could not be looked up remotely

I tried this workaround ([https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/User:Vi0L0][0]">[https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/User:Vi0L0][2]) but it also did not work. I could not get the key from server.

I liked Antergos very much from the first impression since it seems quite younger and less mature than Manjaro e.g. I hope it will develop very fast for I’d like to stay :)

edit: So… it was not that hard. Found a workaround. It was an failure with dirmngr. Running

    sudo dirmngr </dev/null

    solved the problem.

    Have a nice day, enjoy!
