• \[SOLVED\] Cannot import signatures

Okay, so I tried to pacman -Syu this evening and I’m having issues. My original error was

:: Import PGP key 4096R/, "Antergos Build Server (Automated Package Build System) <[email protected]\>", created: 2014-08-04? [Y/n]
error: key "Antergos Build Server (Automated Package Build System) <[email protected]\>" could not be imported
error: required key missing from keyring
error: failed to commit transaction (unexpected error)
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.

So I tried installing antergos-keyring which had solved a similar problem on an previous installation, but it did not fix it this time. After reading through the forums I tried executing this command.

    sudo pacman-key --populate archlinux antergos

But now when I try to update via pacman, I get these errors.

    (13/13) checking keys in keyring [\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#] 100%
    (13/13) checking package integrity [\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#\#] 100%

    Anyone have suggestions?

Thanks, but no luck here. I tried (re)installing the antergos keyring but got this.

    [[email protected] ~]$ sudo pacman -S antergos-keyring
    > warning: antergos-keyring-20140915-1 is up to date -- reinstalling

No worries though since I already had it installed, so I executed the next command and got this.

[[email protected] ~]$ sudo pacman-key --populate archlinux antergos

  • HI,

try removing the following directory and then running the commands to initialize and populate the keyring:[code:2jhsfakj]/etc/pacman.d/gnupg[/code:2jhsfakj]

    Cheers!

  • That seemed to work, thanks. Here’s exactly what I did.

    sudo rm -rf /etc/pacman.d/gnupg/
    sudo pacman-key --init
    sudo pacman-key --populate archlinux antergos

  • Confirmed. This solved my issue as well.
