• How do I activate a dist-upgrade

    Hi,
    short question:
Antergos is a rolling release Linux.
    How can I activate a dist-upgrade?
    Via terminal and apt-get dist-upgrade?
    Or via Pacman-but how?

    Regards

  • Forget all about “apt-get” pacage manager. It is “pacman” instead, now! Coming to your question…
With Pacman XG, give your passward, run it, press “Tasks” and then “System update”. If you have AUR packages installed, give the “Upgrade AUR packages” a go, too.
    In termilal, the command is

    sudo pacman -Syu

    1.Antergos Linux KDE plasma / Gnome 2.Ubuntu 17.10 64bit Unity
    Intel Core2 Duo CPU P8400 2.26GHz‖ RAM 3908 MiB ‖ Dell Inc. 0F328M - Dell Inc. Latitude E6500
Intel Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics [8086:2a42] {i915

  • To sync repos, update system, and update aur you could run:
    yaourt -Syyua

Yaourt is a wrapper for pacman and is installed by default with antergos. -Syyu forces sync of repos & updates system, the ‘a’ flag makes yaourt also update aur packages.
