• Setting up Wine

I am brand new to Antergos and have not been with Linux all that long. I am trying to set up Wine and have run into a problem. I need to set up the binary “console” and am unsure how to do it.

On the helps page, it shows “usr/bin/konsole” in the Binary field and “–noclose -e” in the Arguments field. I don’t have a directory or file named Konsole. I don’t know if it is a directory or a file. If it is a directory, can I just create a directory named “konsole” or “console” in the bin directory?

I hate using any Windows programs but unfortunately I can’t find a bible program for Antergos. When I was using Fedora I would use Xiphos but I don’t see that it is available for this OS. Nonetheless, I am so far very impressed and really am enjoying my time with Antergos.

    Thank you.

p.s., Below is a screen shot of the Wine setup wizard.:exclamation:Sorry, this attachment is unavailable.

  • You can install xiphos from AUR: [https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?O=0&K=Xiphos&do_Search=Go][0]">[https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php][1]? … _Search=Go

Just select one, be aware the the first one is out of date, and simply install it with yaourt.

Install yaourt first if you don’t have it. This is a third party tool to install AUR packages:

    sudo pacman -S yaourt

    Install Xiphos:

    yaourt --noconfirm -S xiphos-svn

I don’t know if it’s gonna work telling to the wine program a path to a binary like gnome-terminal or whatever because it is linux software, so if you can use the native app the better
