• Numlockx doesn't work

    Hi,
    I installed via Pacman numlockx
    but it doesn’t work.
After restart no automaticly activated NumLock?
    Any idea to fix this?

  • There various options to activate Numlock on boot (tty, login-manager, DE …).

Take a look at Activating Numlock on Bootup[/url:2bvmsd2i] (Archwiki)

I use KDE, so what I have to do very easy?
Normally after installing the NumLockx pachage it works.

  • If you’re using KDE, try this:
Open Kate or any other text editor and copy the following code into the new file

    \#!/bin/sh
    numlockx on

    Save it as ~/.kde4/Autostart/numlockx.sh
and make it executeable (open a terminal)

    chmod +x ~/.kde4/Autostart/numlockx.sh

    Or open a Terminal:

    nano ~/.kde4/Autostart/numlockx.sh

    Paste

    \#!/bin/sh
    numlockx on

    and make it executeable with

    chmod +x ~/.kde4/Autostart/numlockx.sh

Works fine - thank you very much!
