• Lenovo R61 will not boot

After installing the 32 bit version, doesn’t matter what DE, on three different Lenovo R61 laptops, the boot process always stops at Nouveau E (… All three have a integrated Nvidia Quatro NVS 140 Display adaptor and the boot process never goes any further. I haven’t tried the 64 bit version yet. The live USB version boots without issue. It’s only after installing it on my Hard disk I get this no-boot problem.

    Thanks,

  • So, maybe is a graphic driver problem. Try installing nv

    sudo pacman -S xf86-video-nv

Boot as single user as explained here [http://www.if-not-true-then-false.com/2012/howto-change-runlevel-on-grub2/][0]">[http://www.if-not-true-then-false.com/2][1] … -on-grub2/ to get to the prompt

  • I’ve installed every Invidia driver available in the repository. I cannot get a DE to work with this model Laptop. Arch works without issue using Nouveau or 304xx. Cinnarch worked as well. Just not this version of Antergos.

  • The actual nouveau error code is:
    nouveau E[PTHERM][0000:01:00.0] unhandled intr 0x000000e1

  • I used the CLI installer this time and now it stops at " reached target graphical interface ". There is another posting for this issue. I will follow that.
