• \[SOLVED\] Keyboard layout won't change

Yesterday I got my antergos installation to boot, and I’m really happy with it

My only concern though so far is that I can’t change the keyboard layout through cinnamon’s settings manager. I’ve added the swedish keyboard layout to the top in the regional settings=>layout tab, but it’s still stuck at the english layout. I tried logging out and in again, but that didn’t help. I guess I could change some config files, but I would appreciate being able to change it through a GUI.

  • Quite a frequent issue here. Perhaps you should create a starred post in the forums?

  • I have a similar problem:
My graphic system (gnome) is in Portuguese, but my TTYs are in English (US probably). I want to have it in Portuguese by default but, despite my efforts in searching for solutions, i cant find a way to permanently have my TTYs in Portuguese. Every time i have a problem and have to use TTYs i end making a lot of errors due to a messy keyboard layout.

i can change temporarily the keyboard map using [command:347knaxs]sudo loadkeys pt-latin1[/command:347knaxs]

    my [command:347knaxs]localectl status[/command:347knaxs] gives me

     System Locale: LANG=pt\_PT.UTF-8
    VC Keymap: pt
    X11 Layout: pt

    in both console and TTY
My /etc/vconsole.conf has only KEYMAP=pt on it!

    any suggestions to solve this?
