• Firefox very slow

Firefox is slowing during operation (after five or then minutes), sometimes blocks the system for minutes. I can’t change window, roll page, etc.
I didn’t observe this with chromium.

  • Ok your laptop seems to have plenty of RAM and a good processor so that isn’t the issue. Check your Firefox Addons by disabling and testing one by one…there could be an addon that is slowing everything down.

  • check speed of browsing with another browser, if problem isnt in you internet connection

  • Are you useing wireless? Because mine was slow too. Until I started with ethernet. Then it went back to normal. Chromium still quicker though.

  • Chromium isn’t actually quicker with page load but it is with UI responsiveness. Though chromium and chrome takes about 4x as much RAM as Firefox does.

Anyway I think this thread is dead, OP hasn’t replied in a month.
