• SOLVED Nvidia installation problem

    Hi there folks!

Have tried to install nonfree-driver 340.32 from Nvidia.

Unfortunately, I failed by command "sudo sh Nvidia xxxx.run, I got error message about not existing file in the folder of “Downloads”. But it’s must be funny: I have there downloaded the driver.

The installation has began in command line without X-server and disabled lightdm.

    Kind regards

  • Maybe it’s bad privilages/ownership rights? If they are “just” downloaded, I bet they have no “execute” right.
    Try :

    chmod +x ~/.Downloads/drivername.run
