• Gimp segfaults on keyboard imput

    Hi,

I have a strange behavior with gimp (and also Playonlinux), Both Applications segfault always when I’m editing something in a checkbox using the keyboard.
For example when I’m trying to resize a picture and typing in the checkbox of gimp, it segfaults at once. Changing values using the mouse or clinking on anything works fine. Keyboard input causes the segfault. Gimp is unusable like this

Terminal output doesn’t say a lot:

    hias@x220 ~]$ gimp
    While parsing XMP metadata:
Fehler: Es wurde kein XMP-Paket gefunden

    (script-fu:2965): LibGimpBase-WARNING \*\*: script-fu: gimp\_wire\_read(): error
    Speicherzugriffsfehler (Speicherabzug geschrieben)

    Same output with gimp --verbose

Perhaps it has something to do with the libxcursor-issue.

    [hias@x220 ~]$ pacman -Q libxcursor
    libxcursor 1.1.14-2

I “solved” the issue in June by doing

    sudo rm /usr/share/icons/default

I think. I did not unlink it with.

    sudo unlink /usr/share/icons/default

I saw the forum-thread here to late.

Now I have an /usr/share/icons/default directory with an index.theme inside.

Thanks for any answers and hints. I’d like to be able to use gimp again.
    Sorry for my poor English.

    Regards Hias

Edit: Downgrading libxcursor doesn’t change anything. Will upgrade again.
