This is a post addressed to those who wish to reduce their Antergos system to Arch.
I have removed most of Antergos packets by hand and so far so good. However, I have noticed that there is still a grub antergos file “/etc/grub.d/10_antergos” that is used when “grub.cfg” is generated with “grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg”.
Anybody, who also uses the lts version, tried to successfully remove this file yet? There has been a recent grub2 update at the end of July and it might well be that the file “/etc/grub.d/10_linux”, included in the grub2 installation, can replace “/etc/grub.d/10_antergos”.
One must issue the following commands:
sudo chmod -x /etc/grub.d/10_antergos
sudo chmod +x /etc/grub.d/10_linux
sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
and check the grub (re)boot menu.
I would appreciate feedback from those who can test or have already tested this!
