• \[Solved\]Missing Mirror

    I downloaded the latest updates, rebooted and was unable to open certain programs. I checked PacmanXG and got the following error. Further, I noticed the ‘local’ repository is gone in PacmanXG when trying to install a program. Can someone give me an idea what to do?

    Thanks.

    => EXECUTE: pacman -Sy --color never

  • Bump…

    Anybody know what this is about? Thanks.

  • Hi,

    Please follow the instructions in the sticky post (In this sub-forum) titled: “Mirrorlist” to select better mirrors for your location.

    Cheers!

    Hmmm, I did, or at least I thought I did. I will try again as I could have screwed it up!

    thanks!

    Edit: I did the following and still get the same error. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.

    sudo pacman -S reflector

    reflector -l 50 -f 20 --save /tmp/mirrorlist.new && rankmirrors -n 0 /tmp/mirrorlist.new > /tmp/mirrorlist && sudo cp /tmp/mirrorlist /etc/pacman.d

    sudo rankmirrors -n 0 /etc/pacman.d/antergos-mirrorlist > /tmp/antergos-mirrorlist && sudo cp /tmp/antergos-mirrorlist /etc/pacman.d

  • Hmmm…Please post your antergos-mirrorlist here. Thanks!

    Best Regards,

  • Here it is. Thanks Dustin.

  • That worked. Did I screw up or was it something else?

    I do appreciate your help!

  • No, nothing you did. For some reason it kept ranking a mirror that is having downtime right now as your best mirror. I just commented that one out

    Cheers!

  • I do love Antergos for this reason. A cordial community is everything.
