• [Solved]Impossible to install Antergos

@partyhard Sorry…i guess it 's going to take longer than i thought.

  • @partyhard but you should use combined both…

    nvidia-installer -b -t

As only -b will do the real install for bumblebee…first testing it would have been more secure…

  • @joekamprad @ricklinux @manuel

@joekamprad Also, before running this test, I accidentally installed bumblebee as I ran

    nvidia-installer -t

    and after that

    nvidia-installer -b

  • As bumblebee should working for you it is o.k…

  • Yeah, you already installed the bumblebee version.

So now is the time to test if it works properly.

@manuel What should I run or test?

  • @manuel @joekamprad @ricklinux Allright guys, I have a last question. I have Antergos installed on a SSD, and I want the packages I download from pamac-manager, pacman and so and so on to be installed in a HDD by default. How can I do that?

  • @partyhard
Do you mean that you want simply to copy the downloaded packages to another HDD?
They are in /var/cache/pacman/pkg (hope I remember the path correctly), so you may just copy them elsewhere.

@manuel No, I want them to get install directly to the HDD

  • @partyhard
So do you want to use them as package cache for another install on the same machine? That is possible with the installer.

  • Or, do you want to copy your SSD installation as-is to a HDD?

  • @manuel said in Impossible to install Antergos:

want to copy your SSD installation as-is

I want that everything that Iinstall stays permanently in my HDD to use it as main memory disk. The SSD it’s only for the system, to start it faster. But all my programs and everything I want it on my HDD to not use SSD space.

  • @partyhard to start programs faster you need to carry then on the SSD then…

@joekamprad Only the system has to start faster, the programs I don’t care about speed, I just want them to be stored in the HDD

  • on Linux everything is a file, and a program is a set of files at different places at your system.
