• Downgrade to LTS Kernel

this is my kernel alt text

    5.0.10-arch1-1-ARCH

i need to downgrade this to latest LTS kernel.how to do this?

  • @Rusiru

    sudo pacman -S --needed linux-lts linux-lts-headers

Then reboot and select the LTS kernel from the advanced options submenu.

  • @Rusiru @manuel will need to rebuild grub.cfg to add entry to grub menu (as far as i remember, this needs to be done manually)

    sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

only if grub is used for sure…

  • @joekamprad
Oh yes, thanks for remembering this!
I seem to forget that Antergos does not have a hook for updating grub after kernel install/upgrade.

BTW, Antergos should have the hook. The hook could, when installing/updating kernel, make some checks about grub and if checks show grub is in use, then update grub.
