• Multimonitor lockscreen setup problems

I have three monitors and currently while I was able to setup them properly after logging in when the machine reboots and lock screen has the login stuff on the wrong monitor.

    I followed instructions here:
    and modified my
    which now has the line
    display-setup-script=xrandr --output DP-4 --primary

    as xrandr gave me
DP-4 connected primary 3840x2160+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)

But rebooting gives me the same thing, login window on the wrong (HDMI) screen.

    What am I doing wrong?

  • @lnkzld said in Multimonitor lockscreen setup problems:

    display-setup-script=xrandr --output DP-4 --primary

in my experience it do not work directly as the command here it must be a executable script instead like this:

    sudo nano /etc/lightdm/greeter_setup.sh
    xrandr --output DP-4 --primary
    exit 0

[Ctrl+X] to save the file then make it executable:

    sudo chmod +x /etc/lightdm/greeter_setup.sh

    in /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf

  • I appreciate the suggestion, but didn’t seem to have any effect even after several reboots.

Here’s my .conf, and associated .sh script, anything look wrong?

  • I am not sure, may you need to use xrandr command to configure both displays…

  • I just remember a similar issue some time ago:
Where we can not get it working with webkit greeter …
