• Can't boot up and format SSD

Yesterday I installed fresh Antergos distro, and while installing i choose to “Encrypt installation for increased security”. After, every single time before GRUB I was asked for a passwords.

So and now for some reason I cant boot up, just after BIOS I see only one hyphen and that’s it. What I have to do, and how I can format my SDD?

shortly after grub you will be asked for the password to decrypt and open encrypted devices.

  • if you want to erase Antergos simple boot from LiveISO and use gparted (graphical partition program) to reformat SSD

  • @joekamprad “…boot from LiveISO and use gparted…”
I actually tried, but no luck.

  • @jif0yilek you must reboot after changing partitions with gparted, to make the changes available for the kernel…

  • … and do not install ubuntu 😼
