• Question...

    How can i make my second hard drive 1.0TB ntfs in order to have read write rights? is it the fstab entry?

  • I have
    UUID=whatever /media/whatever ntfs-3g errors=remount-ro 0 0
    In fstab

  • Using fstab is one way see https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NTFS-3G

    Alternatively you can mount manually as well, for details on how to do this, in a terminal type information man mount.cifs
    To find out your uid and gid in a terminal type id

    Be aware that when mounting NTFS because of windows fast-boot or incorrect shutdown you may get a message saying unsafe to mount or filesystem unclean.
    The fix is to fire up MS-Windoze and a cmd window type shutdown -s
