• Antergos Boots to KDE Half the Time

Whenever I boot up my computer with KDE Plasma installed, it goes to the systemd-boot page where I select Antergos.

Then, it either takes me to a black page or it successfully boots to KDE.

I’m getting quite annoyed how it boots up properly only half the time and am tempted to switch to another OS.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Can you give us any more relevant info? Did anyhing change recently etc? I have Antergos and KDE and mine is fine.

Sometimes if you have a little older hardware, the linux-lts kernel can be a good choice. It might better suit certain PCs. You can install it from the package manager, and then select it from the “advanced” tab of the grub boot menu that you mentioned. That would be the first and the easiest option that I would suggest.
