• Bluetooth adapter not found

    Hello,
    Everything seems to be working on my notebook now, except for the integrated bluetooth device. When I click in the bottom right corner on bluetooth, it says that there is no adapter found. dmesg shows one red problem with the bluetooth device.

     $ dmesg | grep -i bluetooth
    [    7.322374] Bluetooth: Core ver 2.22
    [ 7.322401] Bluetooth: HCI device and connection manager initialized

    [    7.583003] audit: type=1130 audit(1542864188.676:61): pid=1 uid=0 auid=4294967295 ses=4294967295 msg='unit=bluetooth comm="systemd" exe="/usr/lib/systemd/systemd" hostname=? addr=? terminal=? res=success'

    [ 7.593415] Bluetooth: BNEP filters: protocol multicast
    [ 7.593420] Bluetooth: BNEP socket layer initialized

    When I use dmesg without paramters, there is only one red line, where it says

    [ 7.491454] Bluetooth: hci0: RTL: rtl: unknown IC info, lmp subver 8873, hci rev 826c, hci ver 0008

    Thanks for help :)

  • I don’t know why but I started my Notebook today and Bluetooth suddenly works.

    Wonders do happen :D

  • @linuxnoob2 may some firmware problem for the device… as it looks like rtl (realtek) it is very common for such problem…

    can you give a simple lspci and lsusb from terminal ?
