Just installed the other day and I use VLC a lot and I noticed that if I close VLC using the window manager i.e. click the X in the upper right the VLC window closes but the process hangs.
If you go into the VLC settings and un-check the allow one instance options you can then open it multiple times but if you use the X it makes zombie processes.
If you quit from the VLC menu it does not leave the zombie processes behind.
The zombie processes keep the media in use so you can’t move it, unmount a USB drive etc.
This is on a fresh install of KDE Plasma with system fully updated.
Anyone else seeing this issue and know of a work around?
