I’m running pretty much vanilla config of Konsole and zsh. For some reason my home, end and delete keys just do not work, or work partially. I’ve also tried them in tmux and they also do not work.
My understanding is that I need to configure zsh specifically to handle these keys. I’ve tried configuring it using bindkey and terminfo:

# Enable Home/End
bindkey "${terminfo[khome]}" beginning-of-line
bindkey "${terminfo[kend]}" end-of-line
bindkey "${terminfo[kdch1]}" delete-char

but only delete key works. Strangely enough, in tmux everything works fine. My $TERM outside oftmux is

echo $TERM

and inside tmux it’s:

echo $TERM

Using showkey outside of tmux produces the following:

Home: ^[[H
End: ^[[F
Delete: ^[[3

Inside tmux I get:

Home: ^[[1
End: ^[[4
Delete: ^[[3

Running infocmp ouside of tmux produces:

infocmp ~

You can see that khome=\EOH and kend=\EOF, which is different than what is received ([H and [F).
What would be the cause for that? Is Konsole configuration wrong, or does xterm-256color terminfo file have wrong escape codes?

What would be the right way to fix this?

Btw, I’ve tested this in Terminator as well - it’s the same.
