• Black Magic Intensity Shuttle Driver's not recognized

    Hi, I’m having issues with my installation of antergos recognizing my Black Magic Intensity Shuttle USB device.
    I have been able to use this device on this machine before while running windows, but every installation of linux has given me trouble with the device.

    I have tried updating my kernel with the Vmalloc=256MB, as well as modprobing it, but to no avail.

    Here is my lsusb

    and here is my lsmod

    Will need a special driver as far as I understand…

    [updates once a week] = [90% less problems]
    antergos:_rescue
    how to add system logs:
    wget http://bit.ly/2GCG9k2 && sh 2GCG9k2
    :handshake: donate antergos

  • Right, so I did install the decklink package and this was the result. I have also tried bmusb and that didn’t work either.

    What I’m trying to say is that the drivers provided by aur are simply not working.

  • @travist120

    While OBS Studio does support Blackmagic devices on linux, Blackmagic themselves don’t provide a driver for the USB 3.0 Intensity Shuttle for linux, making it unusable.

    However, there does seem to be a reverse engineered driver that is in the ubuntu repos:

    From this page : obsproject

    Here is the link for ubuntu packages : libbmusb @ ubuntu

    Seem’s like a case of make your own pkgbuild
