• Hibernate Problem

    Hi there,

    Hibernate was directly aviable after my Installation on the Weekend but it won’t work. It’s just shutdown the PC and the Powerbutton is Blinknig. After some Minutes i wanted it to Wakup Up but it won’t turn On again 😕

    So i was reading a bit around on the ArchWiki. I found out that the Swap Partition should have at least the same Size as Ram. On my Installation i chosen “use the full harddrive” and it was just 8GB but i have 16GB Ram. So i have resized (from 8 to 32GB) the Partion with the LiveCD and Gparted.

    I also checked the Settings from GRUB about resume and UUID from the Partition.

    nvme0n1p5 is the Swap Partition

    ○ → ls -l /dev/disk/by-uuid/
    insgesamt 0
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 10. Sep 18:44 b36a7801-73e1-4e8c-b208-7267225d5e47 -> ../../nvme0n1p5
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 10. Sep 18:44 cc92a5cc-1ed9-4765-aed2-02739b53e6c0 -> ../../nvme0n1p2

    /etc/defaults/grub

    GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet noapic resume=UUID=b36a7801-73e1-4e8c-b208-7267225d5e47"

    /etc/mkinitcpio.conf

    HOOKS="base udev autodetect modconf block keyboard keymap resume filesystems fsck"

    Do i miss something?

    I also wanted to Upload the Log Files here but “You do not have enough privileges for this action.” so i Uploaded it to Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/open?id=18Ymsf6E7XggSyXDjmCKjVxEr6b-quFLr

    Thanks for your Help.

  • do you have checked settings in EFI-Firmware/Bios? for powersaving on suspend/hibernating?

    how to add system logs:
    wget http://bit.ly/2GCG9k2 && sh 2GCG9k2
    help development: donate antergos

  • Was checking it now and havn’t found anything related to it. I disabled the Security Features and Ram Protection to check if it would work with them Disabled. But don’t work.

    For what should i search?

  • Solved!

    Solution: Instead of “noapic” “ivrs_ioapic[32]=00:14.0” as Kernel Parameter.

    Hope Lenovo will bring soon a BIOS Update to fix this Problem.
