• Antergos freezes during boot sequence

In trying to create a self updating script for launching reflector to update mirror lists at each startup, i caused the system to freeze at boot up. I get the following error message: 0_1536436347890_DSC_0094.JPG “[ 2.924781] systemd[1]: reflector.service: service lacks both ExecSart= and ExecStop= seting. Refusing.
[2.936217] systemd[1]: failed to isolate defaut target: unit reflector.service has a bad unit file setting.
[!!!] failed to isolate default target, freezing.
    [ 2.952155] systemd[1]: freezing execution.”

Its a question of deleting the file i created but I need to get to usr/system to do so, any ideas?

  • Boot from liveiso and arch-chroot into system, disable service and reboot.

  • thanks, I’m in live environment and fdisk -l shows me the partitions as:
    /dev/sda1 (boot) 255M linux
    /dev/sda2 439G linux
    /dev/sda3 7.8G ext’d (LBA)
    /dev/sda5 7.8G linux swap

    I guess I need to mount & chroot dev/sda2?

    sudo mount /dev/sda2 /mnt
    sudo mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/boot
    sudo arch-chroot /mnt
    systemctl disable reflector.service

  • ok thanks it worked!

  • @philipmirabelli nice to see you happy!
