• Twitch video stutter in Source (1080p)

    Hi all,

I recently installed antergos on my intel NUC
But every now and then the video freezes/stutters, when i play it at source
Then i can see the cpu spinking to 100% for just 1 second

    Here are my specs:
    Intel® Core™ i3-4010U Processor
    IGPU Intel® HD Graphics 4400
    Msata SSD 128GB
    8GB DDR3L
    KDE desktop environment
    Also tried in gnome

I tried different browsers inclunding chomium/google chrome and firefox but all suffer from the same issue im having.
I also tried disabling hardware acceleration.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

    Kind regards,

    Jbserious

what do you want to say with this?

And may igpu is not the best in performance on hi-res videos…

  • @joekamprad
source in twitch means the quality the streamer is playing at so 9/10 times its 1080p 60fps but i thought the igpu would be more than enough.

  • Do you try already the tweaks for intel?
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Intel_graphics#Tips_and_tricks

And do you have intel driver installed or using modsetting driver?
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Intel_graphics#Installation

  • @joekamprad i will try this tomorrow. and i just installed antergos and nothing more so no drivers or anything

  • @joekamprad i applied the vsync tweak and that seems to be working fine for now (knocks on wood) no more cpu spiked every 2 seconds and the streams runs butter smooth on 1080p.

So thank you so much if you want you can close this post :)
