• GUI not starting Nvidia K2000M

    @joekamprad
    Thank you now I can at least boot the System up with my external Monitor. And then works perfectly.

    Otherwise will have to rethink if there is any way to get bumblebee working again later, since the Laptop Display isn’t working without it, it at least seems that way. Maybe the bumblebee Issues I had came from these Driver Changes, never had to use legacy Drivers before… But Nvidia-Installer installs even with Bumblebee Option the Standard Driver, so maybe that brought that issue up.

  • @severus may @karasu can bring light into what nvidia-Installer is able to do or not here

  • Hi,

    @Severus

    With bumblebee or without the nvidia driver needs to be installed.

    It could be that nvidia-installer is installing the wrong nvidia driver version for your card… could you please provide the result of running this command:
    lspci -nnn

    Thanks!

  • Hey @karasu,

    Here I have the Output you asked for. Sorry it took so long.

    Ich hoffe es hilft dir.

    Ich werde mir die Tage wohl versuchen Bumblebee nochmal zum Laufen zu bringen.

  • @joekamprad
    Whoops. Sorry. Thanks for translating. Didn’t notice switching between languages…

  • Okay seems like the Nvidia Installer definitly installed the wrong Drivers for my card.

    I got Bumblebee working here again after removing the Nvidia 390xx Driver. After installing Bumblebee with the Nvidia Installer it was again the wrong Driver.
    So I removed the Nvidia Driver Installed by Nvidia Installer and installed again the 390xx Driver.

    Now Bumblebee gets to turn off the Card again with no Problems.
