• How to get plymouth boot splash working

The graphical installer is wonderfull from antergos, however, there was one thing missing from the live cd–a boot splash screen;post installation there was still none.I have tried setting up plymouth manually, but I don’t see any splash screen during boot, all I see it lots of text.Does anybody know how to make plymouth work on antergos? Also I would like to suggest antergos devs to include one by default.

  • Hey hello,

Plymouth is buggy at this moment. I tried before but found out its not working nice.

Here is a theme from Antergos:

    Cheers…

  • I had reffered to archwiki while I was trying to make it work, however,it just wouldn’t work,I even tried uvesafb, but got the same result,so I am giving up for the time being.

  • We found that plymouth is problematic on Arch due to the freshness of the graphics drivers. We decided it was better to leave it out. We are considering a simple splash background image to hide the text though
