• Antergos installer crashes at the end

the very minimal antergos-mirrorlist is here:

    antergos-mirrorlist

  • http://antergos-mirror-a.alpix.eu is having another problem looks like it has no antergos.db file…

is rebuilded and hopefull will be synced to mirrors soon! Then KDE will be installable again…

    do you guys see that:
    https://mirror-status.antergos.com/
we have a mirror status now !

Oops, the site is just loading here, but never finishes…

  • Are we have any news? Is the problem fixed?

  • Sort of … not 100% the cause of the problem is still not tracked down.
But it is possible to install, when we take the antergos-mirrorlist I provide here before and may also rank and filter the mirrorlist for archlinux before start install.
And choose to let mirrors as they are inside cnchi…

  • I finally have installed KDE. The only thing i did is to select the second option, who says "Leave the mirrors lists as they are (by default)

  • @joekamprad
    Yes, it’s working now. :)

  • @joekamprad

Strange. Hope they figure out why this happens. Seems so random.

I just did a fresh install of Antergos today with XFCE chosen, let Cnchi do all the mirror stuff and everything went flawless. But I noticed that after the install, pacman went through a lot of the mirrors on the mirrorlist before it found a working mirror. After I ranked them with reflector, no bad mirrors on the mirrorlist.

  • xfce install was working all the time, that is something else i do not understand…

  • @joekamprad
I think I had problems with Xfce install, too. But not really sure, as I tried so many different DEs…

  • @vulpex Unfortunately this did not help my KDE install. I am not sure what you mean by btrfs. I am currently trying to install Antergos on VM.

Will keep an eye on this post for future solution.

  • I take it this is still an issue? I’ve tried 15 times the last two days to install KDE and could not. I was able to install base last night and then put KDE after the fact. It’s not the same - I really want to get KDE installed via the installer.

    No repeatable workarounds, right?

  • today I tried for three times to install Antergos KDE but without any success…now I’m trying with deepin just to have something working…guys we need an urgent solution… I don’t wanna go with Manjaro…ehehehe

  • As pointed out liblastfm-qt5 is the cuplrit (dependency for Clementine -> antergos-kde-meta), using liblastfm-qt4 works around the checksum issue.

Possible work around steps (had to put as link, stupid Antergos forum flags it as SPAM):
    https://gist.github.com/ricjac/31b1b2932195bcdcb0f75ab5f08dc0df

I will report back when I have tried it

  • Summary (of above work-around ^^):

    • Open existing packages.xml file
      • Replace packages.xml contents with latest content from github !important
      • Explicitly add liblastfm-qt4 as a dependency, so that liblastfm-qt5 isn’t picked by default
    • run cnchi with updated packages.xml

    meanwhile this forum software sucks:

    • I’m really over this s###ty Antergos forum dodgy spam thing, have to post a few message before 1 gets accepted, it’s 2018 peoples!
    • And SSO works 1 out of 5 times
    • And this “Reconnecting” business is getting old, real fast
  • ^^ doesn’t work
It downloads liblastfm-qt4-1.0.9-3, but still downloads liblastfm-qt5-1.1.0.r637-3 (http://repo.antergos.info:80 - which has the checksum issue)
