  • anyone have some cool conky configs they like?

  • good topic!

I’ve been playing with conky last week (just one day really) and found some nice “conkys” round there.[b:3jgcbpxf] So far[/b:3jgcbpxf] I’m just using this simple conky:
    [img:3jgcbpxf]https://copy.com/FYPErq8qBrPoCMSR[/img:3jgcbpxf]
I cant refer here where I saw it because I was in arch/ubuntu/fedora… forums looking for some ideas and I dont really know where I got it. I just really tweaked it to show that simple info.

BTW, [b:3jgcbpxf]what I really want [/b:3jgcbpxf] is one single and slim bar which[b:3jgcbpxf] stands over all the windows at any time [/b:3jgcbpxf]in the bottom of the desktop. Just post this here to contribute and as an example

    .conkyrc:

just add that awesome font package is on AUR (also)
and please… how to make it to stay on top all opened programs. I’d like to set some transparency grade to it and have this info always visible.]0

    Should do the trick

  • thanks! works like a charm

    I added some transparency with:

    own\_window\_argb\_visual yes
    own\_window\_argb\_value 100 [0 to 255]
    own\_window\_color [color\_code\_here]

  • Hey I have a little conky problem.
I combined elementary conky and antergos openbox conky scripts and made some little chages according to the wallpaper.
but after system startup, conky doesn’t show up where it’s supposed to. Killing and restarting conky doesn’t help either.
To get it to the right position, I have to open up the conky config file (using text editor) and simply press ctrl+S (Save) which reloads conky and then it moves to the right position. This is weird but that’s what I have to do.

    This is the conky script:

    alignment bottom\_left

    The code does this:
    :exclamation:Sorry, this attachment is unavailable.

but after every restart, conky moves here:
    :exclamation:Sorry, this attachment is unavailable.

Any suggestions what should I do to stop it from annoying me after every startup?
